Holistic Mineral Naturopathy

Geological research aimed at studying the rocks and minerals that make up the earth’s crust is a field of research yet to be explored, especially due to implications relating to experimental biological and therapeutic know-how.
A team of researchers based in Marta (Viterbo-Italy), one of the splendid towns overlooking the shores of Lake Bolsena, has been working intensely since 1985 to explore the application potential of the volcanic rocks and mineral water taken from the areas adjacent to the volcanic basin.
This work is carried out first and foremost in the full awareness that nature, in the infinite and unpredictable variety of its structure, is an inexhaustible source of resources which, although very often neglected, polluted and even concealed, are able to help modern man to acquire fresh supplies of their primordial energy potentials.
Part of this research work consisted in formulating the concept of Holistic Mineral Naturopathy (H.M.N.), which means using volcanic rocks taken from great depths and consequently untainted by any type of organic, environmental or processing pollution, for application, physiotherapeutic and rehabilitation purposes.
This underlines their nature of being an absolute alternative to the use of artificial, powdered, concentrated or diluted components (minerals), combined with vegetable extracts or “ripened” in thermal waters with the intention of redefining the properties of being “mineral”, highlighting their characteristics and originality from the standpoint of combination, composition and application.
The integrity of volcanic rock stresses the importance of resorting to nature as a holistic and not fractional interpretation of the original combinative whole; with the utmost respect for the equilibrium of its composition, it is able to transmit us its infinite electromagnetic, bio-energy and luminous vibration potentials.
Holistic must not be understood exclusively as the connection between organs and systems, but a careful analysis of the naturopathic requisites, that are not represented by individual fractionated and concentrated proposals (active principles), but by the composite whole: holistic is uncontaminated nature, not man!
Never before has a naturopathic proposal been so rigidly bound to the original conditions of its composition, a fundamental prerequisite to enable it to stand up, without question, to allopathic medicine.
Modern society, the predestined victim of an inexorable process of commercial and therapeutic globalization capable of systematically placing emphasis on the culture of appearance over being, aesthetics over function, symptoms over causes, iatrogenic toxicosis over “primum non nocere”, economic interests over the right to live, demands new, efficacious and definitive solutions to its aliments.

Holistic Mineral Naturopathy
Rather than the widespread tendency to consider minerals separately, Holistic Mineral Naturopathy prefers to identify the original overall elements (volcanic rocks) characterized by an infinite variety of compositions .
It took 3 to 5 million years (upper and middle pliocene, cenezoic era) to produce an infinite series of mineral combinations formed by the action of hot mineral water (hydrothermal solutions) and high pressure gas originating from the deepest strata of the subsoil.
Hence, volcanic lava is transformed, after eruption, into new compounds some of which are endowed with singular cosmetic and therapeutic properties.
This is why the mineral world is a “living” world and the dichotomy between organic and inorganic is an illusion because the inorganic world is born, grows, reproduces and dies just as much as the organic world does.
The comparison between dust and life, the link between inorganic and organic, implies a more careful interpretation of the “human being”, the outcome of electro-physical and bio-energy, and not chemical, balances skilfully proportioned by nature to maintain and improve the vital processes.
Acknowledgement, and appreciation, of mineral varieties as new forms of life emerging from the process of dynamic transformation has incited the advocates of Holistic Mineral Naturopathy to reconsider mineral combinations as a fine delicate network of interdependencies, of external and internal eco-complexities, where the composite whole (rock) is capable of stimulating, modulating and renewing the complex physiological mechanisms.
It is consequently misleading to focus exclusively on the chemical and catalytic activities of each mineral rather than on understanding their combined (rock and water) and electrophysical equilibriums, in order to ensure extraordinary naturopathic efficacy.

Living minerals
“Genuine” natural is the only alternative proposal to the use of purified artificial disintegrated, manipulated, concentrated, diluted fractions added to other active principles, intentionally altering the characteristic and exclusive bio-energy potentials of the original composite whole.

In the example given above, the chemical analysis does not specify how the mineral components are qualitatively and quantitatively combined with one another, which is evident from the types of the different mineral phases that constitute the same rock.

The diffractometric examination given right-hand side [1] enables us to better understand how complex, incomparable and unreachable nature is, in her dynamic compositional harmony, which cannot be exemplified by a mere chemical interpretation.
Each peak shown in the diagram represents a mineral which in the overall compositional equilibrium may appear innumerable times, intentionally combined with other compositional fractions.
Mineral Naturopathy and scientific verifications The most widely used anti-OFR drugs are represented by: Vit.C (Ascorbic Acid), Vit. E (Tocopherol acetate), SOD (SuperOxide Dismutase), RG (Reduced Glutathione), NSAID (Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs).
Numerous clinical trial protocols have demonstrated their antioxidising activity compared with volcanic mineral suspensions, with a different percentage of inhibition of skin erythema, sustained by the formation of OFR (Oxygen Free Radicals) [2].
The activity of mineral suspensions ( 100% volcanic rocks ionized and dynamized in natural spring water) was found to be high, considering that it was the first time that an “open” comparison between synthetic and natural, whole and fractionated, pre-composed and uncontaminated, cosmetic and pharmaceutical had been conducted.
The evolution of bio-geological research and continuous scientific verification will enable us, within a very short time, to further improve the efficacy of the mineral suspensions versus the active principles most widely used in the conventional aesthetic and therapeutic channel.

Uses
For 20 years we have been engaged in experimental research for the use of integral natural substances (non-conventional treatments) in acute and chronic articular degeneration.
It is not a prejudicial choice: osteo-articular pathologies are the clinical conditions that are most commonly observed and those that respond increasingly less frequently to instrumental and pharmacological expedients (allopathic).
The fields of use of Holistic Mineral Naturopathy range from aesthetical and health manifestations to acute and chronic articular conditions: scapulo-humeral periarthritis, tendonitis, variously localised arthrosis, articular and extra-articular degenerative forms, sports traumas, muscular contraction, sciatica and slipped disc, dislocation and partial dislocation, pubic pain, carpal tunnel, etc.

Types of formulations and recommendations for use
Mineral suspensions (volcanic rocks suspended and dynamized in spring water), are ready for use and do not have an expiry date because they are totally inorganic (they do not contain preservatives, chemical additives, synthetic ingredients or organic derivatives).
They are never used hot but applied at room temperature, and preferably cold.
The treated area must be covered with a transparent film or the aluminium foil Bendal and left to take effect for as long as possible; a minimum of an hour for the Vulca® range and all night in the Fomenta Marina® physiotherapeutic applications.
10 to 20 applications are normally required to obtain a lasting result, without overlooking the fact that the benefits are evident from as early as the first application.
